About our school

Dalmally Primary School is a co-educational, non-denominational school serving the villages of Dalmally and Lochawe along with the surrounding area. The school, which was built in 1975, is situated in the Glenview area of Dalmally. It is a single storey building of semi-open plan design.

This session there are two primary school classes and a Pre-5. The Pre-5 class (9 pupils) is housed in Room 1, with P5,6,7 (16 pupils) in Room 2: the P1,2,3,4 class (18 pupils) is located in the Open Area. There is also a dining/gym hall, a general-purpose room which we used for working with small groups of children, an office and a staff room.

The external grounds of the school offer outstanding views of the surrounding mountains and glens. We think we have got one of the best views in Argyll!  We also have a generous playground area for the pupils including grassed areas/football pitch.  We are developing our outdoor area to include an orchard, a quiet area and an access point into the forest that surrounds us! Our poly tunnel is now built and we are hopefully going to grow a variety of fruit and vegetables....Watch this space!!
